What connects me with SoTL?

My academic endeavors are deeply rooted in social justice, striving to cultivate culturally safe, equitable, and inclusive learning environments. I foster reflexive and reciprocal partnerships across disciplines and communities.

My research delves into inclusive and compassionate pedagogies, academic identities, reflective practices, and the integration of First Nations knowledge within higher education. I have designed and delivered the Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning at three Australian universities and have created numerous professional learning activities and microcredentials aimed at enhancing teaching and scholarly practices. My publications explore themes of academic identity, disruption, cultural competence, and insider methodologies, challenging scholars to interrogate research and practice while confronting systemic inequities in higher education.

Additionally, I am pursuing graduate studies in Humanistic Buddhism at Nan Tien Institute, Australia, with the goal of rehumanizing the curriculum and the scholarship of learning and teaching through the rapid uptake of Generative Artificial Intelligence.
