Area of Action for First Group

We have two sub-groups working simultaneously.

For our first group, we are developing a narrative review that examines how the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) has been disseminated over time. The review focuses on both historical and emerging approaches to sharing SoTL findings.

The guiding research questions for this group include:

  • What have been the historically prevalent channels and platforms for disseminating SoTL findings?
  • What empirical metrics are most commonly used in the literature to assess the effectiveness and impact of these traditional dissemination channels?
  • What gaps exist in how impact is measured, and what alternative measures might better capture non-traditional forms of engagement with SoTL work?
